Full eligibility details
- Passing Class 12 (10+2) from a school board recognised by the government is the entry rule. A 3-year diploma after Class 10 from a recognised institute also counts.
- Manipal does not publish a minimum mark for Class 12. Ask on WhatsApp to confirm the rule.
- Students who finished Class 12 outside India also need a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). It shows the result counts the same as Class 12 in India.

Required documents
- Aadhaar card
- An address proof, such as Aadhaar, passport, voter ID or a bank statement
- Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets
Every student also needs two government student IDs at admission. One is an ABC ID, which records course credits, and the other is a DEB-ID. Both are made online.
Online classes
- Classes
- Classes are live online, and the recordings can be watched later on Manipal’s learning website.
- Exams
- The exam at the end of each semester is taken online from home, on a laptop or desktop computer that runs Windows.
- Exam marks
- 70% of each subject’s marks come from the exam at the end of the semester, and 30% from assignments. A pass needs at least 40% in the exam and 40% in the assignments.
- Time to finish
- 3 years. Up to 6 years is allowed.
