Only graduates with less than 40% marks need to take a test. They must pass Amity’s admission test before they can join. Graduates with 40% or more can apply directly.
The course needs about 12 to 15 hours of study a week.
Any bachelor’s degree from a recognised university is accepted. A degree from outside India also needs a letter from the AIU that says it is equal to an Indian degree.
The course includes four Hospital and Healthcare Management subjects in semester 3 and two in semester 4. All of them are listed in the syllabus on this page.
It suits doctors and nurses who want to run a hospital department. It also suits hospital office staff who want to manage the day to day running. The careers section lists more.
Hospital and Healthcare Management covers running a hospital, patient flow, quality checks, and health rules. Operations Management covers planning what a factory makes, a quality method called Six Sigma, and running services. Year 1 is the same for both.
