Full eligibility details
- A bachelor’s degree of 3 years or more, from a recognised university, is needed.
- A degree from outside India also needs an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
- There is no entrance exam.
Admission steps

Required documents
- Aadhaar card
- An address proof, such as Aadhaar, passport, voter ID or a bank statement
- Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets
- Graduation marksheet
Every student also needs two government student IDs at admission. One is an ABC ID, which records course credits, and the other is a DEB-ID. Both are made online.
Weekend classes
- Live classes
- Saturdays and Sundays, 6 to 8 hours a week, in sessions of 1 to 2 hours. Class recordings, quizzes and forums are on Manipal’s learning website.
- Exams
- Online at the end of each semester, taken from home with the webcam on.
- Exam marks
- At least 70% of each subject’s marks come from the exam at the end of the semester, as UGC rules require.
- What is needed
- A laptop or computer with a webcam and an internet connection is needed.
- ID check
- Aadhaar or another government ID is checked at every exam.
- Time to finish
- 2 years. Up to 4 years is allowed.
