Any bachelor’s degree from a recognised university is accepted. A degree from outside India also needs a letter from the AIU that says it is equal to an Indian degree.
The course includes five Information Technology subjects in semester 3 and three in semester 4. All of them are listed in the syllabus on this page.
It suits software developers and IT support staff who want to lead projects. It also suits systems and network staff who want to move into management. The careers section lists more.
Information Technology covers how software is built and run, how data is kept safe, networks, and reports for managers. Data Science covers writing code, working with data, teaching computers to spot patterns, and charts that show results. Year 1 is the same for both.
